Clemmie was born in London in 1982 and educated in England, France and Italy. It was in Florence where she first practised traditional painting from life and spent three and half years of classical training at Charles Cecil Studios in 2004 - the influence of which can be clearly seen in her work.
Following her time in Italy she continued developing and practicing her work living and travelling extensively throughout India, a place with which she has a strong family connection. The luminous mosaic of her ancient landscape, diverse people and culture has left a deep and lasting impression on both herself and her art. She is now based in London working and living in Battersea.
